Greetings and welcome to Starbase 99, also known as Starbase Versailles.

Starbase Versailles is a play-by-website sim in the Star Trek Operations division of United Confederation of Interstellar Planet's Beta Fleet, set in the year 2411. Currently under the command of Rear Admiral Jason Thompson, the simulation serves as Headquarters for the Federation's Second Fleet, as well as being a key installation in the YaDalla System, at the intersection of the Federation, Romulan, and Klingon borders.

Service on Starbase Versailles means participation in a simulation with a rich history dating back 15 years. Throughout all this time the simulation has remained a cornerstone of UCIP, and a vibrant place where politics, economics, and military affairs routinely come together on a day-to-day basis. And while nobody knows what the future holds, everyone who comes to Versailles hopes that they find a more prosperous past than what they left behind.
